- You may have held the ‘I’ button in for a bit too long and so accidentally entered the set point mode instead of ‘THI’ coming up.
- Release all buttons and wait a few seconds until the display changes back to showing the current temperature.
- Temperature has been higher than 8°C for 15 minutes or more (on pharmacy models).
- If the fridge has only just been plugged in or reconnected to electricity supply following a power cut then this can happen.
- Press any key to silence the alarm.
- Otherwise, immediately move the stock to another working refrigerator of the same type.
- Arrange a service visit if there is no obvious explanation for the alarm, such as the door not being closed properly.
- Temperature has been lower than 2°C for 15 minutes or more (on pharmacy models).
- The hysteresis (the number of degrees the temperature is allowed to rise above the set point before the cooling system kicks in again) may need to be changed from 4 to 3, and the setpoint changed from 2 to 3 – please refer to the user manual or contact us for advice.
- The door is open.
- Check that the door is closing and sealing well.
- Press any key to silence the alarm.
- The compressor is running.
- This is normal.
- The temperature sensor probe may have failed or worked loose from the controller – arrange a service visit.
- Immediately move the stock to another working refrigerator of the same type.
- Condenser – please dust the condenser (black pipework at the back of the appliance).
- Recovery.
- The temperature is recovering following a defrost cycle. This is normal.
- The appliance has completed the defrost cycle and so the compressor comes back on and the appliance starts cooling down again.
