Lec Medical is dedicated to the manufacture of medical refrigeration products for
pharmacies, wards, and laboratories, with a wide range of sizes and formats.
The brand, part of Glen
Dimplex Professional Appliances (GDPA) has launched two new easy-to-use drawer
systems for the PE507 & PG507 and PE502 & PG502 pharmacy fridges.
Both systems consist of
four drawers, a practical alternative to shelves, giving quick access to drugs
stored at the back of the fridge. The drawers feature compartment partitions to
enable users to organise the storage of drugs efficiently. They allow for maximum storage capacity and
aid stock rotation. The top drawer is shallower than the others, allowing more room to
store tall items. Made from aluminium they are strong, light and durable.
The drawer system for the PE507 is factory
fitted so comes ready to use as a PE507DP. The PE502 & PG502 models are now
discontinued but, due to the high sales in previous years, there are
significant numbers in use so the ADP502P drawer system can be easily retro-fitted
by the end user.
Lec Medical pharmacy fridges are
environmentally friendly, conforming to recommendations for storage of vaccines
outlined by the National Pharmacy Association (NPA); refrigerators must be
capable of storing products between 2°C and 8°C and equipped with a
maximum/minimum thermometer, checked each day with maximum and minimum
temperatures recorded.
Lec Medical fridges are fully lockable preventing
unauthorised access and ensuring medicines remain secure. An external LED temperature display makes it
easy to check the internal temperature and a fanned cooling system gives better
temperature stability and rapid temperature recovery after door opening. An
audio/visual alarm system activates if the fridge goes beyond the set
temperature parameters and an open door sensor on some of the models alerts the
user if someone has accidentally left a door open.
